MONROVIA — Liberia’s domestic revenue collections have reached US$954.7 million for Fiscal Year 2026, according to the Liberia Revenue Authority.
LRA Commissioner-General James Dorbor Jallah announced the figure during a revenue performance and revenue measures review meeting in Monrovia.
The amount puts the government approximately US$45.3 million short of the US$1 billion mark.
Jallah said the authority expects collections to exceed US$1 billion during September and remains on course toward its US$1.3 billion revenue target for 2026.
The increase in domestic revenue is significant for the government’s ability to finance its national budget and reduce dependence on external financing.
However, the available figures do not by themselves show which revenue categories are responsible for the increase or how the additional collections are being allocated.
